1966

The first wooden railway - Bluff area Durban 1856-1857
It carried stone for John Milne’s improvement works to the harbour entrance – the
stone was taken over to the Point in barges for the construction on the original North Pier,
until Governor Scott appointed Vetch, whose pier, a disaster, was built further north.
